Girls just wanna have funds!
So with these merry times upon us, we all go out shopping, trying to find the best gift for our loved ones at the best price, right? Well, I usually stay in, away from the crowds, the awkwardness, the insanity, and shop from the comfort of my couch. Snuggling in your PJ’s, hot cocoa or red wine in hand, browsing through sites to save money like a Thrifty Ninja is my kind of awesome.
If you are like me and prefer your home and computer to the stores and the press of humanity upon you, then I have some fantastic savings tips for you! Go ahead and download the Chrome Browser and head on over to the Chrome Web Store; or, after downloading the browser, just click on the links I provide in this post. The links will take you straight to any extension that sounds useful to you.
On with the savings!
So, let’s start with one of my favorite extensions that has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years. This one is called Honey and it is a honey of a money saver! *cue sitcom-like laughter* This extension is very popular – and for good reason. Here’s the facts, straight from Honey itself:
Honey searches for every code on the web as well as ones submitted from users like you. Honey tries codes that other people have saved with first. Honey also stacks codes whenever possible.
Pretty sweet, right? It’s super easy to use, too. Just click on the Honey button at the top of your browser and it takes over from there! It’s honest as well, letting you know if you have a low chance of saving any money, but giving you options to go find some yourself by offering you links to sites like Coupons.com and RetailMeNot. Go ahead and download it and watch the savings pile up!
If you want the Terrific Twins of Thriftiness, you want to download the extension PriceScout, as well as Honey. Using both of these extensions will save you tons of time and mounds of money. It looks for coupons, just like Honey, but it also will scan over 21,000 stores to compare prices! If PriceScout finds a better deal for your potential purchase, a pop-up will appear with the lower price and where to find it. Comparing itself to a personal shopping assistant, PriceScout stays hidden until coupons or a lower price is found, then discreetly alerts you, allowing you to find the best deals while shopping! Check it out HERE!
Okay, this one is a bit different from your usual money-saving extensions and apps. When you do a Google search for a product, Coupon Cabin will inform you of savings from thousands of stores in your search results; from free shipping, to BOGO’s, and money off deals. That information is featured above each link on the search results pages and will save you tons of time – no need to wait until the cart at every site. It also offers you cashback! Over 3,000 stores are partnered with Coupon Cabin and will offer you cashback when you click their link to your potential purchase. For example, if you click one of their links and then spend $100 at partner sites like WalMart, Walgreens, or Sears, you’ll earn 4% cashback on your order, which in this case is $4. That money is paid monthly by Check, PayPal, Chase Payments, eGift Card, or can even be donated to your favorite charity! You’ll definitely want to check out Coupon Cabin for the multitude of savings!
There you go! These 3 Chrome browser extensions can help you find the best deals and save money when shopping for the holidays or during any time of the year! Keep in mind, there are many more sites and extensions that are similar to these, and if used in conjunction, will most likely ensure there is no coupon code or sale left unturned. If you want to check out other ways to save, look up some these other great cash savers:
And tons more! Check out some of those links and see which ones fit your needs. You don’t need every coupon checker out there to save money, but if you have a handful of great extensions/apps/sites, then you’ll save money every time you shop online.
Keep an eye out for my upcoming post on websites where you can find some fantastic deals!
